Ocean Studies is an ongoing body of work photographed throughout Hawaiʻi, emerging from nearly twenty years spent photographing Buddhist temples, Buddha statues, monks, and sacred places across Asia. Although the subject changed, what I was searching for did not. These photographs explore the quiet rhythms of the Pacific Ocean—a continuing search for stillness in moving water.
