The Shape of Memory is a collection of photographs made by feeling rather than searching for a particular subject. Instead of trying to describe a place, I photograph what it feels like to be there—responding instinctively to light, movement, atmosphere, and fleeting moments. Often there is little thought between seeing and making the photograph. Places become less literal, figures dissolve, and details begin to disappear. What remains is something closer to memory: fragments of color, light, and feeling.
