This photo was taken in november 2012 in Sapa Vietnam at a black Hmong village in paddy field. As this boy saw me coming, he rushed immediately back inside. I had the feeling he would come out again so when I reached the opening, I stood at the door and waited until he came out again for a split second and this is when i took this photo. This was the last time I saw him.
I just came back from Vietnam for a 3 weeks shooting. As a freelance professional photographer, I concentrate my work mainly on people lifestyle but I also enjoy doing studio work. I would like to go back in Asia in the near future, I have really enjoyed this part of the world !https://www.facebook.com/pages/Claude-Pesant-Photography/505893559420954

This shot was taken yesterday as a test shot during a ski shoot. After a huge snowfall the night before, the aspen groves were coated in snow. The way it looks, it could almost be mistaken for an IR shot.
About me: I'm a self-taught photographer who shoots mostly active lifestyle, adventure, and landscape. I mostly work out of Aspen, CO but I tend to travel quite a bit and relocate myself. You can find a very small sample of my recent work at www.zachluchsphotography.com. Feel free to contact me about freelance work or prints or if you want to meet up if you're in the area. Happy holidays!

"Last year I spent a few months exploring the backstreets and alleyways of Chinese cities. This image was the first shots I took as I walked out to photograph the streets of Nanjing, China."
I have a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Texas San Antonio. Architecture and photography are my two biggest passions in life.
Much of the work I produce comes from an interest in studying how our bodes interact with space and to a larger extent, how our minds are impressed with memories from these experiences. We carry these memories/ experiences of spaces with us as imprints on our brain... traces of the external world that are continuously filtered through our senses, the most predominant of these being sight.
Smell, taste, touch, sound, can also trigger memory, but the medium of photography has a power that can easily carry us back to a past experience, or lead us to imagine one we have never had.
I love to travel and create/ document new experiences for myself. I think this is what the human experience is all about. It is my hobby and my passion.
