Some useful photography tips on when to use color and when to use black and white.

Some images like this one can work well in color or in black and white. That's because there is a good amount of contrast and such vibrant colors.  But thats not the case with all shots. Some people believe they can just take a photo and turn it black and white and it turns into art.  But thats not the case. It depends on the contrast and emotion of the photo for it to work or not. You want the viewer to feel something when viewing the image letting them step into your shoes for a moment as if they were taking the shot themselves. I shoot digital so I always have that choice after I see the image whether or not to go color or black and white. When I shoot I like to go off of color theory so if there is no significants with the image color I may go with the black and white. But the most important thing is, Is the image itself alive?
